My Orange tumbler. With all of the fantastic resources available at the Orange Conference, there is one thing I came home with that has been surprisingly awesome. That is my Orange tumbler. It is not that it makes my water taste any better or magically turns it into orange juice (though I did drink nearly a half-gallon of the stuff out of it last week). But it has served as an unexpected conversation piece.I work at a bank during the week. I drink water from my tumbler everyday. People are constantly asking me, “What is orange?” and I get the opportunity to tell them about our churches strategy for reaching our community by utilizing the influences of the church and the family. I love that I get to share that with people. Sharing the vision and strategy of our church to reach and teach families is something I never get tired of talking about.
Of course, you could always purchase a tumbler from the online store, but I’m going to just be honest and tell you that it is much more meaningful and satisfying to purchase it while at the Orange Conference. One of you will get a chance to go to the 2012 conference for free, but you’ll want to check back here later this week to find out how.
