This year, I have decided to try a new approach in my Bible reading. Now equipped with an Android powered phone and the free YouVersion app, I found that they have an interesting option to read the Bible in one year chronologically, meaning in the order scholars believe the stories take place, not in the order they were written.
I found out today, that Wayne Stocks and some of the others from kidmin1124 are doing the same thing. So, I’m asking you to join us. If you are interested, hop on over to kidmin1124 to get the rest of the details. I recommend subscribing to the weekly newsletter so that you get the reading plan delivered to your inbox each week. Plus, you might find something else interesting there.
For those that do not subscribe to that newsletter, I will attempt (read fail miserably) to provide the readings to you each week from here. The first set is at the end of this post.

Really? They think Job happened that early? I never thought of that. It puts things in a whole different perspective to see it chronologically.
I’d heard that before, but I was still surprised to see it there. A lot of people put Job prior to Abraham’s story. There are also people who think that it was possibly Solomon who wrote Job. Not sure that theory is all that popular, but I think there is some good evidence for it. Guess we won’t know until we ask him.
