As part of the mission of equipping and resourcing the children’s leader serving in small churches or small towns, I’m constantly looking for opportunities to make those resources easily available. After taking a look at Pinterest, I realized that it was a tool that I had to utilize.
I’ve enlisted the help of my wife, Megan, who is the creative guru in our home. She is the one who makes things happen, things like our creative kidmin environment. Together, we will be using our Pinterest boards to share resources from across the web that are specifically geared towards the small church kidmin. We’ll be “pinning” things that are low cost, creative, and helpful in your ministry. Right now, we have boards created for environments, games, costumes/props, and parenting, but I’m sure we’ll create more eventually.
What is Pinterest? According to their website:
Pinterest is a virtual pinboard. Pinterest allows you to organize and share all the beautiful things you find on the web. You can browse pinboards created by other people to discover new things and get inspiration from people who share your interests.
Megan and I are looking to share some of the great resources that are already circulating on the web and to also create some great original content. If nothing else, we hope to use Pinterest to jump-start your creativity. Just because you’re in a small church, doesn’t mean you cannot do ministry with excellence.
